In the book, the author comprehensively reveals how the understanding of justice and injustice, identity and self-awareness, physical and mental health, as well as other important issues, has historically developed in Middle Eastern and Western societies, the awareness of which helps reduce misunderstandings and conflicts.

The monograph is an exhaustive explanation of Eastern and Western cultures, highlighting both similarities and differences. Kaspars Kļaviņš does not shy away from expressing his opinion in an emotionally saturated and engaging manner, dismantling various myths and stereotypes that still serve as the ideological arsenal of extreme viewpoints in the modern "business world" cocktail of lies and propaganda. Although the book was written while the author was residing in the Middle East, it is a serious academic study utilizing a wide range of sources and literature materials documented in several foreign languages (including Arabic and Persian).

Being a specialist in European medieval history, early modern times, and Enlightenment, the author has been better able to uncover the issues of the Islamic world, seeing both the commonalities and differences.
