The painting captures a sense of freedom provided by the opportunity to genuinely express oneself in this increasingly complex time for humanity. When conflicts, political uproars, and unrest arise in the world, I return to a good, pure expression of color as a comfort, refreshment, and respite from the daily overloads. These are feelings akin to being in nature, taking a breath of fresh air, and ceasing the chase for the unattainable, being able to be within oneself, see the good around, and thank God for our bright days in this corner of the earth and in this allotted time.
