For sale is an exquisite and rare exhibit for true porcelain enthusiasts – a coffee set made at the historic Nyköping manufactory. This item was crafted around 1880, a time when European masters reached the pinnacle of craftsmanship, inspired by the best Chinese porcelain traditions.
📜 Historical value and quality
This set is made of high-quality, thin, and transparent porcelain. It has a unique combination – visual lightness and clarity, yet at the same time, it is surprisingly durable and stable. At the end of the 19th century, such complete service sets were available only to very wealthy and elite families, symbolizing the owner's high status and taste.
The decoration features fine hand-painting. The main floral motif is underglaze painting, while the accents – sky-blue flowers and gilding – are applied over the glaze.
Tactile sensations: The overglaze color layer forms a small, pleasant relief in places, indicating authentic handwork and giving the design liveliness.

🏆 About the manufactory
