Red Book of the Latvian SSR

In 1985, the mentioned work was published by the publishing house "Zinātne". The book provides information about each plant and animal species, including its distribution, conservation status, causes of changes in numbers and distribution area, as well as proposals for protection and research. The book was mainly intended for scientists and nature conservation practitioners, had a limited print run (6000), and was not widely available.
