DESCRIPTION

Sixth grader Ellie feels like a fish in water when drawing or calculating mentally, and like a fish that has to climb a tree when she has to write or read at school. If a fish were judged by its ability to climb trees, it would consider itself a useless creature... I wonder how it would be if I felt normal at school, instead of constantly stressed? - ponders eleven-year-old Ellie, once again sitting in the principal's office. She's in sixth grade but has managed to hide her inability to read and write with various tricks. Teachers consider her "slow," while classmates see her as a freak. If Ellie didn't have a loving family and an incredibly rich imagination, she too would have already written herself off as hopelessly stupid and succumbed to the bullying of her classmates.
