For the second winter, I haven't worn them at all, so we're parting ways. They hold the ankle firmly, prevent sprains, have insulation, and normal treads on a thick sole with a tuft at the top of the boot. The closure has holes and hooks at the top, allowing for adjustable tightness, especially if the pant ends are tucked into the boot. Ideal for trudging through deep snow and snowball fights. I had leather patches added inside by the shoemaker because the heel was rubbing, but I simply don't wear
them.
The color is pigeon gray, treated with a special agent before the first use, never soaked through. Since they're light, some signs of use are slightly visible - all superficial. I was afraid to clean them to avoid damage, and for such a light shade, it's quite pointless. The boot itself is suede; I received compliments when wearing them, liked them, but we never really connected. There's a box.
