In the game "Pandemic," four dangerous viruses have simultaneously broken out in the world. Players take on the roles of infection-fighting specialists, and their mission is to deal with the outbreak centers while trying to find cures for all diseases so they don't become uncontrollable. The game board depicts many of the largest disease epicenters on Earth. Each turn, a player can perform four actions to travel from city to city, treat the sick, discover cures, or build research stations. If any disease overwhelms the ability to recover from it or too much time is spent, players lose. The deck provides players with various options, but alongside it is an epidemic deck that creates new challenges, intensifies, and accelerates infections. Each has their own unique role with their own unique abilities. Players can only win the game by collaborating as a team.
