The pulling mechanism is metal coated with a thick layer of silver through galvanization and is in perfect working order.

Manche à gigot (https://share.google/jESVdwncV7RnRc5BM) is a special tool for easily cutting, for example, a roasted lamb leg.
The grip with teeth (silver-plated metal) is attached to the leg bone to provide a more comfortable hold when cutting the meat.

This is a rare example of antique tableware.
It was mainly used in wealthy homes and restaurants as an item of luxury and etiquette.

The product has two types of marks.

#1. The Minerva head mark is a French silver grade mark. This icon, used since 1838, certifies the purity of silver and is one of the strictest in the world.

950 silver grade mark (950 parts out of 1000, or 95% pure silver).

#2. Next to Minerva's head is also the manufacturer's stamp, which is diamond-shaped to identify the specific craftsman or workshop.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer's mark is unknown, a diamond-shaped mark with his initials and symbol: E G or E C. Between the letters is the manufacturer's personal symbol—a small crown, flower, or Fleur-de-lis: a traditional symbol of Parisian jewelers.
