Book content description from the book presentation: In the book "Mare nostrum," the author explores the impact of various Middle Eastern cultures on Europe. The influence was particularly evident in two historical periods. Ancient Greek culture developed within the sphere of influence of ancient Middle Eastern cultures, playing a recipient role until classical times and partly later during the Hellenistic period. The second significant period of influence was the Middle Ages. From the 10th century to the beginning of the 14th century, European culture absorbed Arab influence in almost all cultural fields.
