Lāčplēsis return

Valdis Rūmnieks, in his work – only in prose, not poetic language – starts from the point where A. Pumpurs ended – the story is about how Lāčplēsis, overcoming the powerful current and whirlpools of the Daugava, still manages to escape. However, he has lost both his magical power, which was hidden in his ears, and his human – masculine strength. Without regaining his strength, Lāčplēsis cannot defeat Kangars and defend Lielvārde. Moreover, he feels unnecessary and useless for life. But how and where to regain strength?
