The book "The Count of Monte Cristo" (Alexandre Dumas, 1844–1845) is one of the most famous adventure novels in world literature. It tells the story of Edmond Dantès, a young sailor who is treacherously accused and imprisoned in the Château d'If. After years, he escapes, finds a vast treasure, and, becoming the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo, exacts revenge on his enemies. The novel intertwines themes of justice, revenge, forgiveness, and human morality.
