I am selling a German army metal box (original) from World War II. This box was a standard German ammunition accessory, in which soldiers at the front stored and transported powder refills for mortar shells.
Metal container with inscription: "Zusatzldg. 12cm Gr. W.42 / 12cm Gr. W.378(r) – russ 38 –".
Used for storing powder charges for 12 cm mortar shells (Granatwerfer 42 and captured Russian 120 mm mortars).
Box dimensions: diameter ~12 cm, height ~10 cm. Condition – authentic, inscription clearly legible. An interesting exhibit for military collectors or history enthusiasts. Shipping costs to be paid by the buyer.
