Silvija Pētersone's painting - Paper, Pastel, 1998. Size 39.5x54 cm. Silvija Pētersone studied at the Riga Applied Arts High School from 1957 to 1961 in the departments of metal art and costume modeling. The artist acquired her painting skills from several teachers, such as Anton Megnis and Nikolajs Karagodins. Most of her artworks are created in oil paint and pastel techniques.
